Iskusstvo v sobstvennost (Owning Art) 

On November 26, 2008, BAIBAKOV art projects, in conjunction with Fleming Family Partners and marka: ff, released its first publication, a Russian translation of Judith Greer and Louise Buck’s Owning Art. Originally published in 2006, the book provides the basis for any beginning collector to understand not WHAT to collect, but HOW to collect. The book draws upon a wide selection of advice, thoughts and anecdotes from famous collectors, museum curators, gallerists and artists, each exploring the idea of Owning Art. The book is an important beginning for BAIBAKOV art project’s publishing department, an essential supplement to the educational aims of the exhibition program.

invasion : evasion

The second publication, an exhibition catalogue for invasion : evasion was printed with World of Art Moscow (WAM) Publishers.  The catalogue featured a separate disk containing video footage from the performance of Katya Bochavar and Andrei Bartenev,  White Rainbow Over a Table: A Musical of Spoiled Goods, as well as  The World of the Other, Dmitry Venkov's documentary film which follows the development of “invasion : evasion.”

Luc Tuymans: Against the Day

BAIBAKOV publishing is proud to announce Luc Tuymans: Against the Day. Designed by the artist’s studio, the exhibition catalogue presents the twenty works featured in the exhibition «Against the Day," supplemented by the source images for these paintings and installation shots from the Wiels Center for Contemporary Art in Brussels. The catalogue includes the essay, «The Deferral of the World», by curator and writer Pablo Sigg, as well as an introduction by curators Maria Baibakova and Kate Sutton.
